🚨 Security - SOC-200 Certification
SOC-200 teaches you to triage alerts, analyze logs, and hunt threats using industry tools like ELK and Splunk. No multiple-choice tests. Just a 24-hour, hands-on exam to earn your OSDA certification. Prove you can handle real-world security scenarios.
Key Points:
• SOC-200 certification focuses on hands-on security training.
• The exam is 24 hours long and requires real-world scenario analysis.

🚨 Security - Common Breach Scenarios
Filezilla is the devil. My latest breach was a user, with local admin rights, answering a Teams call from "Help Desk (EXTERNAL)". Then the user proceeded to allow them to download and execute Windows_Update.exe. Eventually, the intruders had 24 hours of persistence on a prod system.
Key Points:
• Filezilla can be used for malicious activities.
• Users with local admin rights can be exploited by attackers.
• External calls can be used to trick users into downloading malware.

🤔 Miscellaneous - Balaclavas
Doesn’t clearly say what they are “protesting” I’m sure it’s uplifting social policies. The balaclavas seem a bit of a strange choice. Anyone know what this is about?
Key Points:
• Balaclavas are being used for an unknown protest.
• The purpose of the protest is unclear.
• Balaclavas are an unusual choice for a protest.

🤯 Travel - Leaving Belongings
When you travel to Asia or the UAE/Oman and people leave phones/cameras/wallets/belongings at their table and just go off and order or go to the loo. My crime paranoia is on the U.K. setting. That would be gone in seconds in the uk and Europe.
Key Points:
• People in certain countries leave their belongings unattended.
• Crime rates vary across countries.
• Leaving belongings unattended is a common practice in some countries.

😂 CTF - Challenge
Oh, hello. This would’ve been helpful last year during a CTF that had a challenge exactly like this. It only got 1/3 of it. I had to solve it myself the rest of the way and THAT sucked.
Key Points:
• A CTF challenge was difficult to solve.
• The challenge was not fully completed.
• The solver had to complete the challenge on their own.

🐀 Purple Teaming
Purple teaming, plainly: it’s not red vs blue — it’s red AND blue working the same incident until the detections actually work. That’s exactly what “Help Me, I Got Compromised” is on RatCTF. Five connected hosts, one breach, and you’re the incident responder: triage a complex incident.
Key Points:
• Purple teaming involves both red and blue teams working together.
• The goal is to make detections work.
• The challenge involves a complex incident with multiple hosts.
